Embattled comedian Bill Cosby has been sued in another sexual assault case. It now seems that he may have celebrated victory a little prematurely. The disgraced star now has another trial date coming up in another alleged assault case, after the first one ended in a mistrial after a jury deadlock
A Los Angeles judge has set a new trial date for July 30, 2018, for the new trial. This time it's in a civil case, from a woman Judy Huth, who claims that back in 1974, when she was 15 years old, Cosby sexually assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion.
According to Deadline, Unlike the first trial though, the statute of limitations has passed, so Huth filed it as a civil suit.
This is because she was a minor at the time of the alleged incident, it is expected that the new California trial will occur next year after Cosby's re-trial in Pennsylvania for the Andrea Constand case. Cosby who was about to embark on a town hall tour to teach kids how to avoid what happened to him, will now have to put it on hold as his legal trouble rages on.
Over 60 women accused the comedian of Sexually assaulting them but Andrea Constand was the first to go to trial. It is now expected that the DA will ensure that other suits follow until the man who was once considered one of the world's best entertainers is finally behind bars.
