They let the cat out of the bag. To celebrate Prince Charles' 70th birthday, the brothers  William and Harry have been interviewed for a documentary about their father. And the pair hilariously used the interview as an opportunity to reveal some of their most embarrassing moments they've had with their dad.

Talking candidly to royal correspondent for the Telegraph Hannah Furness, the Princes revealed their father's passion for cleaning up the planet in the new interview, and how their dad has influenced them over the years.

They got some picked on for it.  Prince Harry and Prince William reveal that they got teased at school for "picking up rubbish," . Believe it or not, it is a habit which their dad inspired.

Speaking at the interview, Prince Harry says, "I used to get taken the mickey out of at school for picking up rubbish. I didn’t go out consciously looking for it but when you go for walks anywhere and you see something and it stands out, you pick it up."

Their dad made sure they did it on a regular basis. And when it comes to picking up trash, Prince William describes the unusual vacations they had as children.

Talking to the Telegraph, William reveals, "He took us litter picking when we were younger... We thought this is perfectly normal, everyone must do it. We were there with our spikes stabbing the rubbish into black plastic bags." Although this might seem like a slightly strange vacation activity, it's clearly had a very lasting impact on both sons.

Harry added that it made them realize the importance of caring for the planet.  "I’ve literally done this because I’m programmed to do it because my father did it. We should all be doing it." And in case you agree, because saving the planet is obviously important.

If the royals can pic rubbish to save our precious world, so can you. Grab a bag today.
